Yeow Hwee Chua is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is also Deputy Director of the Economic Growth Centre at NTU and Honorary Secretary of the Economics Society of Singapore.

His research lies at the intersection of behavioral macroeconomics, household finance, and public economics. He studies how information frictions and economic environments shape household expectations and financial decisions, and how these decisions aggregate into broader market and macroeconomic outcomes.

Prior to joining NTU, he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received his PhD in Economics from the National University of Singapore and his MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a CFA charterholder.
