Yeow Hwee CHUA (蔡耀辉)
Yeow Hwee CHUA is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is also the Deputy Director of the Economic Growth Centre at NTU and the Honorary Secretary of the Economics Society of Singapore.
His research lies at the intersection of behavioral macroeconomics, household finance, and public economics. He studies how beliefs, information frictions, and economic environments shape household expectations and financial decisions, and how these micro-level responses translate into broader market, policy, and macroeconomic outcomes.
Prior to his current appointment, he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the National University of Singapore and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
